Here’s a little teaser panel for you from Bamse #14. Last Christmas I was entrusted to draw a story written by the late Master himself, Rune Andréasson. This was obviously a great honour for me, so I pushed myself to make an effort out of the ordinary, hoping to do justice to Rune’s work. It’s actually two continuous scripts, “Fule Fritte” and “Dorabella och Prins Räv-Rusk”. They treat the subject of bullying in a very classic Rune A. way (reminiscent of stories such as “Kalle Svartskalle” and “En riktig Lucia”). These pages are no doubt among the best pages I ever did for Bamse, and certainly the ones I’m most proud of, and I pray to above that the coloring department did their job as they should. Please take an extra look at Bernt Hanson’s beautiful, beautiful ink lines. His ink originals should be framed on a wall, not stored in some dusty vault…
