This year Donald Duck turned 75, believe it or not. A group of Norwegian fans decided to celebrate the duck by arranging a festival and an exhibition in Oslo called Celebrating the Duck. They invited cartoonists from around the world to interpret Donald as the 75 year old man he is today. The response was so good that they decided to extend the exhibition into 2010 and invite more cartoonists to join. I was very honored to be one of those cartoonists. At the moment we’re around 50 cartoonists included in the exhibition, among them some of my heroes like Bud Grace and Freddy Milton. Below is my contribution. If you’re in Norway next year, keep an eye out for Celebrating the Duck (Norwegian style)!
Haha wow, I didn´t even know he turned 75 this year, I really should read more Donald Duck >.< Also Celebrating the Duck sounds like an awesome come-together festival, I certainly hope I get the chance to get my butt over to Norway 2010 and check it out!
I´ve always loved Donald, but when I was little I had to choose between Bamse or Donald… I went with Bamse whilst my brother had a subscription for Donald for a few months :3
Also I LOVE your contribution picture, it made my day! And Kermit´s expression is priceless xD
Thank you, Tob! If your brother subscribed to Donald Duck, couldn’t you read his magazines? 🙂
Haha, our magazines was our most guarded treasures when we where little, we never let anyone read them except our closest friends, and any trespasser would be judged severely 😀
That behavior eventually calmed down but my brother decided to sell all of his magazines together with his Pokémon playing cards after a year so I never got the chance to read any except for the few I finished off in secret.
Kids… xD

Celebrating the Duck!
